very productive weekend! working on the last 2 octagons for the octagons and squares throw and then I get the fun of putting it all together! There are 35 octagons and 24 squares! At least there aren't very many ends to weave in I have been doing that as I go along.
Still working on motif placement, not sure which one I like best. I do hope to get this one finished today. Seems like I have been working on this one a lot more than 2 weeks.
I love the colors. I am always amazed at the patience people have to make and assemble all the pieces for these beautiful afhans. I can make the all in ones, but the blocks to assemble quickly get put aside. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteI usually stick to the all in ones! Not a fan of sewing things together. my first reaction when I saw the challenge was not to do it. I did not want to make all those parts and didn't like the colors in the pattern photo, But as I saw other color combinations from other stitchers I could not resist the temptation. Thank you.
DeleteYou are sorely tempting me. I don't need another project by any stretch of the imagination, but your work has convinced me I need to make an octagon afghan at least once.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I didn't need another project, lol. I have four afghans going right now. But after seeing all the other octagons and squares throw in the CAL I just had to give it a try. Its a fairly quick project to stitch, a little tedious putting it all together, but so very worth the effort. I really like the way it is working out.
